The Opportunity
KBR is seeking a Financial Project Manager to support the Guided Weapons & Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Integrated Work Package (IWP), providing Above The Line Contracted Support to the Department of Defence. Reporting to the IWP Lead, GWEO, you will provide financial project management expertise and strategic advice across a range of GWEO programs and business functions. You will be responsible for overseeing project planning and execution activities while ensuring projects are appropriately budgeted, risk-managed, forecasted and aligned to Defence capability lifecycle and sustainment frameworks. Working closely with senior Defence stakeholders, you will play a key role in investment assurance activities, supporting the delivery of Defence strategic priorities and sovereign capability outcomes.
Responsibilities
This role is responsible for providing investment Assurance to the program executives to assure GWEO investments as outlined in the IIP and defined in cabinet submissions are on track, delivering the intended outcomes and benefits, and is appropriately resourced and risk managed through the strategy and concepts, risk mitigation and requirements setting, acquisition and sustainment phases across the program, including: Supporting the preparation of the Program response to the annual Budget Estimates (BEs) and Additional Estimates (AEs) acquisition and sustainment processes, Defence Capability Assessment Program and Integrated Investment Plan (IIP) management activities. Working with P3M and across Manufacturing Division to establish project and program financial data requirements that will improve forecasting and BEs/AEs response development (e.g. 3-point estimates, financial risk scenario modelling between enablers. Supporting the preparation of program status reports to support the Program executive and ensure stakeholders are aware of the status of the Program with ‘a single source of truth’. Reporting would include contributing to monthly Program performance reporting as well as preparation of reports for Defence Committees, Senate Estimates, senior management ad hoc requests etc. Provision of detailed analytics that demand subject matter expertise of a high order, including Life Cycle Capability Modelling (Strategy and Concepts, Risk Mitigation and Requirements Setting, Coast Modelling, Financial Data Requirements Management.
