About this role
Supervise and support daily environmental, health, and safety activities. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations and company standards. Conduct routine workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments. Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; recommend and track corrective actions. Lead safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors. Maintain EHS records, reports, permits, and documentation. Monitor and improve site safety performance metrics and environmental compliance indicators. Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and HR teams to promote a strong safety culture. Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response planning. Review new equipment, processes, and facility changes for EHS impacts. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices. Assist in waste management, hazardous material handling, and environmental sustainability initiatives. Coach supervisors and employees on hazard recognition and risk reduction. Support workers’ compensation case management and return-to-work programs, where applicable. Analyze EHS data and prepare regular reports for management, agency office and customers. Implement corrective actions for KPI deviations and continuous improvement initiatives.
