Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall management of the tax liabilities, of Citi, both directly and in connection with transactions with clients, including the related compliance, financial reporting, planning and controversy processes. Contributes to the planning, accounting, filing and the reporting of tax liability of the company. Assists in determining and compiling information required to satisfy income tax filing and related requirements at all levels of jurisdiction. May participate in managing payments to tax authorities in compliance with specific tax regulations. Advises on procedures and concepts in technical/subject area and integrates with others in accomplishing the objectives of the sub function/ job family. Improves process efficiencies in harmony of unit goals. Uses conceptual/ practical grounding in applying policies to the business Perform other duties and functions as assigned Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications
5-8 years of experience Education: Bachelors degree Job Description – Tax Reporting Analyst This position is responsible for the preparation and filing of US non-income tax returns (indirect tax filing) including Sales and Use Tax filings with the individual state taxing jurisdictions. The primary responsibilities of this position include the completion of US Sales and Use Tax returns and certain other non-income tax returns, requesting tax payments to accompany returns, assisting with external tax audits, and conducting research for assigned states as necessary.

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel Candidate should possess working knowledge of basic tax filing concepts and principles, and the ability to review and interpret tax form requirements. Compile and review Accounts Payable invoice detail and other transaction details to support tax return filings. Must be a team player who is detail-oriented, organized, and can multi-task with strong time-management skills. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Qualifications: 5-8 years of experience working in tax compliance; previous US Indirect tax reporting experience is preferred.
Education
