Insurance Solutions is a strategic growth area for Carlyle, with a long-term mandate to partner with insurance companies to deliver flexible capital and asset-based solutions that support balance sheet optimization, growth and strategic initiatives. The team invests across multiple pools of capital, including Fortitude Re, Carlyle’s balance sheet, and third-party institutional capital, allowing for a broad and adaptable approach to investment opportunities.
Operating as a lean and highly collaborative team within a global investment firm, Insurance Solutions offers the opportunity to take on significant responsibility and contribute meaningfully to the continued development and scaling of the platform as Carlyle expands its presence in the insurance market.Carlyle seeks to hire an Associate to work within the Insurance Solutions Group. Associates are expected to focus on investments in the global insurance industry.
They are expected to, as a part of the team, review and evaluate investment opportunities. Including:
* Valuation and financial modeling * Financial statement analysis * Management of due diligence processes * Deal structuring and legal document review * Capital raising * Ongoing monitoring of and reporting on portfolio companies * Preparation of investment memoranda and other presentation materialsEducation & Certificates
* Bachelor’s degree is required
Professional Experience
* Candidates should have 2 - 4 years of work experience in financial services, investment banking, private equity, corporate development or M&A, insurance experience is required * Strong quantitative and analytical skills * Proficiency in financial modeling with an emphasis on insurance * Self-motivated and energetic * Excellent communication and presentation skills
Benefits/Compensation The compensation range for this role is specific to New York and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $150,000.
