The role in a nutshell
At Chainguard, Recruiting Operations is a critical function that enables us to scale thoughtfully while maintaining an exceptional candidate and hiring team experience. The mission of RecOps is to design, optimize, and continuously improve the systems, processes, and data that power our end-to-end recruiting lifecycle.
As a Recruiting Operations Manager, you’ll sit at the intersection of strategy and execution. You’ll partner closely with Talent Acquisition, People Operations, and legal to ensure our recruiting infrastructure is efficient, compliant, scalable, and built for a fast-growing, distributed organization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, thinks systemically, and enjoys building durable solutions that support both current needs and future growth.
What you'll do
• Act as a primary owner for critical recruiting tools, workflows, and vendor relationships.
• Manage a team of recruiting coordinators.
• Partner with HR Technology to configure systems, manage integrations, and implement automations that reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
• Map, document, and optimize end-to-end recruiting processes.
• Ensure data integrity through audits, quality controls, and governance standards.
• Move beyond basic reporting to deliver actionable insights that inform recruiting strategy and operational decisions.
• Partner with Legal and People Ops to ensure recruiting practices align with global employment laws and internal policies.
What we're looking for
• 5+ years of experience leading or executing complex Recruiting Operations or Talent Operations initiatives.
• Deep hands-on experience with recruiting and/or HRIS technologies (e.g., Greenhouse, Workday, Gem, or similar), including system configuration, integrations, and day-to-day use.
• Strong operational and strategic planning skills, with the ability to translate ambiguous goals into clear, prioritized execution plans.
• Proven ability to analyze recruiting data, surface insights, and solve complex problems independently.
• A track record of influencing cross-functional partners and stakeholders at multiple levels to drive outcomes.
Base Salary Range
$140,000—$165,000 USD
