This position pays $17.90/hr. -General Production – A Shift Shift Hours: Sunday: 6 AM - 6 PM Monday: 6 AM - 6 PM Tuesday: 6 AM - 6 PM Wednesday: 6 AM - 12 PM This position is responsible for loading and or bagging all finished outgoing product, inspecting trailers and tankers, collecting samples and completing and keeping documents, and work in production area as assigned by supervisor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Functions To maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture. Receive training as required. Perform various positions as required/assigned. Description Tasks Applicants will be considered for any general production opening. These openings require standing for long periods of time, lifting to 50 pounds, shoveling, climbing stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, bending, stretching, reaching, working in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors. Must be able to use basic hand tools and perform basic mechanical and maintenance functions. Maintain clean work area by use of soap and high-pressure hose. Must be able to read and complete required logs. Must be able to communicate with supervisor and co-workers via two-way radio. May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. May be required to operate frontend loader or forklift and will be required to obtain certification to do so. Requirements
6 months forklift/operator experience with one employer in the last 24 months. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud .
