About this role
Do you want a role with deep meaning and the ability to make a real impact? Hiring top talent is not only critical to Amazon’s success—it can literally change the world. It took a lot of great hires to deliver innovations like AWS, Prime, and Alexa, which make life better for millions of customers around the world every day. As part of Workforce Staffing (P&A), you'll have the opportunity to reinvent the hiring process and deliver unprecedented scale, sophistication, and accuracy for Amazon's Talent Acquisition operations. Key job responsibilities Customer Understanding & Discovery - Conduct direct customer research (interviews, surveys, site visits, Voice of Customer monitoring, data analysis) to uncover unarticulated candidate and recruiter needs. Distinguish stated wants from actual needs, generalize across personas, and translate insights into business problem statements. Serve as the voice of candidates and the business throughout the development lifecycle. Business Artifact Ownership & Requirements - Own business-facing artifacts (VOC documents, BRDs, PR/FAQs) that define the desired candidate and recruiter experience. Capture pain points, workflow logic, compliance/legal requirements, and acceptance criteria. Translate privacy and regulatory obligations (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, country-specific labor laws) into clear requirements by partnering with legal, Employee Relations, and data privacy teams. Product Strategy & Execution - Own features end-to-end across the product lifecycle—from discovery through launch and post-launch monitoring. Translate strategy into roadmap priorities, determine MVPs, and make sound tradeoff decisions. Use prototypes, research, and data to validate directions quickly; develop tenets to navigate one-way vs. two-way door decisions. Cross-Functional Leadership - Drive alignment and consensus across engineering, design, operations, legal, compliance, marketing, and third-party vendors. Influence without authority, clear blockers, and lead business reviews with senior leadership. Data-Informed Decision Making - Define success metrics (output vs. outcome), analyze usage data and feedback, and measure impact while guarding against vocal-minority bias. Global Product Delivery - Support multi-country launches by conducting market-specific discovery, identifying localization and compliance requirements, and balancing global standardization with local needs across 10+ countries.
