As our AI Governance Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that AI is deployed responsibly, ethically, and securely while helping unlock its full potential across the enterprise. What You'll Do

Lead and evolve Alcoa’s AI governance framework, including policies, standards, processes, and oversight structures that enable responsible AI adoption. Play a key leadership role as a member of the AI Steering Committee and help shape enterprise AI strategy, governance priorities, and decision-making. Develop and manage AI intake, inventory, and risk management processes to ensure compliance, transparency, and accountability. Partner with Legal, Ethics & Compliance, Data Privacy, Procurement, Cybersecurity, Audit, and business leaders to govern AI technologies and third-party solutions. Drive AI awareness, training, and stakeholder engagement programs that promote ethical and responsible AI use across the organization. Establish governance metrics, monitoring processes, and executive reporting to measure compliance, risk, adoption, and business value. Stay ahead of emerging AI technologies, regulations, and industry trends while helping guide Alcoa’s AI roadmap and future direction. What you can bring to the role Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Experience in AI governance, technology risk management, data governance, compliance, privacy, or a related discipline. Strong understanding of AI technologies, including generative AI, machine learning, large language models (LLMs), and associated risks and governance considerations. Experience leading cross-functional governance, compliance, risk, or enterprise transformation initiatives. Knowledge of AI regulations, data privacy requirements, ethical AI principles, and risk management practices. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical audiences. Relevant certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, AI governance, data governance, risk management, or related credentials are a plus, as is experience in manufacturing, industrial, or global enterprise environments.
