Here, you’ll be supported in progressing – whatever your ambitions.              About the role: Boston Scientific was recognized as a  Glassdoor Best Place to Work in 2026 , ranking No. 15 on the Top 100 list, reflecting the culture our employees experience every day, and recognized by Forbes as one of the  Best Workplaces for Engineers in 2026 , reflecting a culture where engineers do meaningful work.   The  Principal Supplier Engineer provides technical leadership for the custom Connectors and Cable Assemblies category team , while serving as the primary liaison for escalations to and from suppliers.  This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to address and resolve complex and critical supplier-related issues, while improving supplier performance, mitigating risks for supplied materials, and driving strategies to support supply chain objectives.   The incumbent is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive cost efficiencies and operational improvements across receiving sites, while optimizing supplier selection and performance to support existing product lines and new product development.    At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Collaborating with R&D, manufacturing, and process development teams to determine the design, packaging, electrical testing, and mechanical requirements during new product development Providing comprehensive support across new product development phases, qualification processes, and production release activities Planning and managing all project phases and activities; lead engineers and cross-functional teams in qualifying and optimizing supplier processes Ensuring seamless integration of new products and acquisitions into the BSC supply chain, while minimizing disruptions to existing programs or customer operations Communicating effectively with senior leadership, cross-functional stakeholders, and customer plant leaders to secure support and resources as needed Partnering with the category team to sustain approved suppliers, identify new suppliers when necessary, and leverage market trends to enhance the category strategy and drive continuous improvement Managing conflict and ambiguous situations with sensitivity and awareness; applying a solution-oriented approach to resolve issues

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or STEM-related discipline   Minimum 7 years of technical experience supporting complex mechanical or electrical systems Ability to travel up to 20% globally

Experience working in medical device or a similar GMP environment  Experience with connectors or custom cable assemblies manufacturing Experience leading cross-functional project teams, with the ability to influence stakeholders and achieve impactful results

Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively Proficient in statistical methods with hands-on experience using statistical analysis tools Strong technical writing and reporting skills; ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop internal and
