What you will be doing
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Key participant in the monthly accounting and close processes related to payroll, incentive compensation, employee benefits, and employer taxes. Analyze payroll and compensation-related expenses, accruals, and balance sheet accounts, providing clear explanations of variances and trends. Partner with Payroll, Human Resources, Tax, and Finance teams to ensure the accurate accounting treatment of employee compensation programs. Calculate and record accruals for bonuses, commissions, vacation, severance, stock-based compensation, and other employee-related liabilities. Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner. Support quarterly and annual financial statement reporting activities, including preparation of schedules and analytics. Coordinate with internal and external auditors by providing documentation, process walkthroughs, and support for payroll and compensation-related audits. Assist with special projects, regulatory reporting requests, and other accounting initiatives as assigned.
What you will need
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. Typically requires a minimum of five years of experience in an accounting role Big 4 Accounting experience a plus.
