Position
Overview: The Post Closing Bond Team Lead is responsible for daily production activities and leading a team of Post Closers in day-to-day operations. This role oversees first-level loan escalations and general inquiries from Bond Post Closing team members to ensure conditions and exceptions are resolved in a timely manner and that all escalations receive a response, guidance, or resolution within 48 hours of submission. The Post Closing Bond Team Lead monitors multiple reports and investor portals to ensure timely loan follow-up activities, accurate documentation within loan files, and effective communication with investors and internal departments.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Bond Post Closing team, ensuring efficient pipeline management, workflow optimization, and timely completion of deliverables. Perform first-tier review of escalated files. Review and balance the team’s loan assignments and task load. Provide employee development and performance coaching in one-on-one meetings. Document and maintain accurate records of one-on-one meetings, including discussion points, action items, commitments, and follow-up activities, ensuring timely completion and accountability. Assist with onboarding and training new hires and existing employees to be upskilled in a variety of topics as needed. Monitor staff productivity and ensure the team meets or exceeds minimum production requirements while maintaining compliance with established service level agreements (SLAs). Implement process improvements that enhance efficiency in the bond loan process, including identifying, recommending, and submitting a minimum of two process improvement suggestions per month. Review production and processes to identify trends that will be relayed to the Bond Post Closing Manager. Pull daily investor reporting to identify loans that have been suspended for purchase and load balance files as needed within the team. Assist with the Bond Post Closing Team tasks and responsibilities, as necessary. Assist the Bond Post Closing Manager with QC reporting. Review and obtain clarification from investors when needed to determine what is acceptable to cure applicable defects. Monitor daily condition reports from the investor for updates on suspended loans or new conditions as received. Monitor time of loans on the warehouse lines and advise Bond Post Closing Manager of those at potential risk for curtailment from the warehouse. Monitor a pipeline to ensure all loans shipped are either conditioned or purchased in a timely manner. Provide updates on the status of assigned loans with investors to the Post Closing Management Team. Ensure investor guidelines are followed and avoid incurring suspense fees. Review and approve team check requests as applicable. Ensure the Bond Post Closing Team meets set monthly purchased loan goals. Qualifications and Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent. 4+ years of experience
