Overview The Business Analysis Group Manager is a senior management-level position responsible for serving as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and technology organizations, ensuring business objectives are translated into effective technology solutions. This role leads teams of business analysts responsible for driving business planning, investment prioritization, requirements management, and delivery execution across complex, enterprise-wide initiatives. The position provides leadership over the Risk and Acquisitions Domain supporting US Consumer Cards (USCC) , overseeing strategic portfolios, business capabilities, regulatory initiatives, and technology investments that support organizational growth, operational excellence, and risk management objectives. The Group Manager is accountable for establishing direction, governance, and execution standards while ensuring alignment between business priorities, technology strategies, resource capacity, and investment outcomes. The overall objective is to lead continuous analysis, exploration, and evaluation of business performance, emerging opportunities, and strategic initiatives to drive informed decision-making, operational efficiency, and successful business transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Domain Ownership Provide strategic leadership for the Risk and Acquisitions domain , partnering with senior business and technology leaders to define priorities, roadmaps, and investment strategies. Lead the evaluation, prioritization, and governance of business initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals. Drive business analysis strategy across multiple programs, products, and technology platforms, ensuring consistency in execution and delivery practices. Support annual and multi-year investment planning processes, including initiative assessment, business case development, funding requests, and prioritization activities. Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership by providing insights into business capabilities, portfolio health, resource needs, dependencies, risks, and strategic opportunities. Business Analysis Leadership Manage multiple teams of business analysts supporting complex systems, products, and business functions. Establish best practices, methodologies, standards, and governance processes for business analysis activities. Ensure high-quality requirements gathering, process modeling, capability assessments, user story development, documentation, and stakeholder engagement. Guide teams through ambiguity and complex problem-solving efforts while maintaining alignment with strategic objectives. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence across the business analysis organization. Portfolio, Investment & Delivery Management Oversee a portfolio of technology and business initiatives from ideation through implementation and benefits realization. Partner with Product, Technology, Architecture, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure investment decisions are supported by thorough analysis and business value assessments. Lead planning activities related to project initiation, demand management, resource allocation, and delivery readiness. Ensure business requirements, funding approvals, capacity planning, and implementation milestones are coordinated across impacted organizations. Monitor initiative progress, dependencies, risks, and outcomes, proactively escalating issues and recommending mitigation strategies. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration Build and maintain strong partnerships with executive leadership, business partners, technology teams, control functions, and external stakeholders. Facilitate alignment and decision-making across diverse stakeholder groups with competing priorities. Communicate complex business and technical concepts in a concise, logical, and understandable manner for audiences at all
