Agency: FleishmanHillard Job Function: Consulting Job Subfunction: Business and Change Consulting Job Description:
Overview
FleishmanHillard’s Washington D.C. office is seeking an experienced and versatile communications professional to join the firm’s Corporate Reputation practice as an Account Supervisor focused on supporting the firm’s technology, cybersecurity and telecoms clients. This is a hybrid role. This position provides a fantastic opportunity for a mid-level communications professional with a background in and passion corporate communications to work with collaborative teams on communications strategy and campaigns, media relations, corporate positioning, business development and content creation on behalf of our industry-leading clients. In this role, you will work directly with enterprise, B2B, B2G, and consumer tech clients, helping devise and execute large-scale communications campaigns that directly impact their bottom line. Our clients will depend on you to be responsive, thoughtful and proactive with ideas, own and drive communications programs from concept through execution, delivering measurable results. You will also own and advance media relations efforts on behalf of these clients across top-tier business, trade, and policy outlets. The ideal candidate is extremely organized, a self-starter who both initiates and executes, and demonstrates an ability to find synergies between multiple workstreams. They bring creative instincts to open-ended challenges and precision execution to tightly scoped ones, switching between both modes fluidly. FleishmanHillard values the importance of impact and inclusion to strengthen the bonds between us, grow our people and create spaces for everyone to thrive. We stay true to our commitment to our people and the communities in which we live and work. As part of our ongoing effort to be the world’s most inclusive agency, we are committed to seeking candidates who possess and demonstrate a profound interest in furthering our impact and inclusion goals.
Responsibilities
Build traditional and nontraditional media relations strategies, manage and execute campaigns and projects with a team, for our clients in the cybersecurity and technology sectors. Develop and maintain strong tech media relationships with business and policy reporters and pitch ideas. Help shape client stories and messages with partners across media and platforms, with the goal of integrating clients into the broader news cycle. Lead, support, and motivate teams to successfully build and maintain relationships with and correspondence to external: top-tier reporters, client partners, SMEs, etc. Write and edit communications materials that capture relevant audiences and reflect an understanding of our clients’ businesses – ranging from internal to external documents, including pitches, plans, memos, research, written content, media materials, website and social media content, client correspondence, and collateral. Play a pivotal role in overseeing and finding synergies between several client workstreams and account teams, including managing budgets and forecasts, overseeing projects and clients, and pursuing new business by leading and contributing to proposals and opportunities. Manage multiple client contact relationships and deliver according to individual contact needs.
