The Computing Products Department in the Avionics business unit has an opening for a new grad Electrical Engineer. This department is responsible for the development and sustainment of state-of-the-art avionics hardware products including integrated processing cabinets, video processing modules, network product, and control panels used in commercial and military aircraft platforms.   This position is for an entry level Electrical Engineer 1 to develop digital hardware used in high performance computing products such as Processing Computers and Network switch products for Commercial avionics platforms. This role is onsite, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

As an entry level Electrical Engineer 1 at Collins Aerospace, you will…..  You will use and apply electrical engineering principles and techniques to design, develop, document, verify, support, and troubleshoot digital hardware for avionics products.  You will work closely with Systems, Software, Mechanical, Environmental Effects Engineering, Manufacturing / Operations, and Design-to-Cost (DTC) staff to assure defined requirements are consistently met in all phases of a product's lifecycle.  You will work on designs that include the use of digital logic (ASIC/FPGA/CPLD), processors, and various memory technologies.  You will support current production issues if the need arises.
