Your Mission
The Strategy group at Activision is a lean, high-caliber team driving key business decisions across the entire organization. We work directly with our CFO and COO to ensure our business is identifying opportunities and delivering against top strategic priorities for Activision Publishing, Call of Duty, and other core franchises such as Crash, Spyro, and Tony Hawk. Our team develops exceptional talent, with members regularly graduating to leadership positions. As a Senior Analyst, you will be a critical and visible part of the team leading Strategy for Activision. You will partner with execs and VPs across Activision and studios to size new concept opport unities, evaluate market opportunities, o ptimize our por tfolio & mo netiza tion st rategy , reco m mend p ricing changes , eva luate partnership / joint venture / M&A opportunities , and more. Sample projects include: Size new game opportunities: building market sizing models, size financial opportunity , and developing investment recommendations for new titles, sequels, or franchise extensions. Evaluate market and growth opportunities: assessing new platforms, regions (e.g., Asia, mobile), and business models to identify where Activision should expand next. Shape portfolio and monetization strategy: analyzing franchise potential and identifying opportunities to enhance player engagement and long-term value Evaluate partnership and strategic opportunities: assessing potential partnerships, licensing arrangements, and other strategic options that could expand Activision's reach or capabilities. Key R esponsibilities Drive organization-wide strategy projects: tackling leadership's top priorities, often spanning multiple franchises, studios, and functions. Conduct rigorous quantitative and qualitative analyses: synthesizing large volumes of information quickly to solve complex, ambiguous business problems under tight timelines. Build consensus and influence decision-making: partnering across cross-functional teams (finance, product, marketing, studios) and presenting recommendations directly to executive and VP audiences. Develop deep expertise in the gaming industry and our franchises: understanding how they operate, the markets they compete in, and where the next big opportunity might come from. Player Profile 2+ years of experience plus 4-year college degree in management consulting, private equity, or corporate development/strategy at a leading TMT company Exceptional quantitative skills and financial acumen Persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal; comfortable interfacing with C-suite on day one Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency Self-starter and comfortable with ambiguity; must be self-directed and proactive Interest and passion for interactive entertainment and technology with the ability to learn complex industry topics and processes quickly Our World At Activision, we strive to create the most iconic brands in gaming and entertainment.
