Job Description
Management Level Definition: Applies advanced Customs Operations & Compliance and Logistics knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and will participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to internal/external stakeholders/partners. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.
Responsibilities
Japan Customs and Logistics (GLO) Team Individual Contributor Role Act as import/export operation lead as well as Customs Ops country lead in HPE JP AEO control program, monthly review items report to Mariko and annual training and audit for all HPE business units and logistics partners. Attending AEO Customs on-site audit (every 3 years) and Customs audit (approx. every 3-7 years) from import/export operation lead as well as JP Customs Ops country lead standpoint. Review and approve an application of Blanket “Value declaration form II (C-5310)” to Customs for internal orders in order us to use Reference Price for declaration to comply with JP valuation system. Issuance of letter to authorities for any incompliance incidents are found and none for those 4 years. Raise any changes to HPE pricing methodology to Customs when needed. Escalated point of Customs and Compliance issues including DG shipment. DG Cert Holder, IATA certified (added advantage). Attending internal GT transaction audit, Focal Point of Logistics against business/legal/finance stakeholders. Escalation point of month-end/quarter-end revenue critical shipments/deliveries against business stakeholders Manage KPI for transportation and performance review of LSPs. POD Management Conduct for new business models with business stakeholders, for Projects and more Proactive news release for country events which may impact to local delivery, such as natural disasters. Initial escalate point for IT issues (SAP, EDI, Pulse issues) Node Consolidation and SERP operational observer Supply chain managers’ committee (weekly meeting and monthly performance review) Trading Expenses review with Finance as JP country logistics lead Education and Experience Required: First level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred. Typically 6-15 years of experience in a supply chain function. Experience in more than one supply chain function.
Preferred Requirement
6-15 years of experience in a customs/global trade function. Broker's license is an additional advantage Knowledge and Skills: Excellent understanding of supply chain processes (Customs, Logistics and supply chain). Identifies
