About the Job

General Summary of Position Coordinates audiovisual support from the department Communications and Public Affairs for conferences, meetings, lectures, and special events and other occasional affairs at a variety of sites throughout the hospital. Provides on-site technical support and troubleshooting as well as coordination of programmatic and technical aspects for all video teleconferences, web-based conferencing, live streaming, lectures, and events. Strong familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Zoom and WebEx. Provides technical expertise with the installation, use, set up, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on audiovisual equipment including basic repairs and cleaning, and scheduling of preventive maintenance and upgrades. Chooses the right technology to set up making sure they are fully calibrated to operate effectively. Primary Duties and Responsibilities   Provide day-to-day on-site technical assistance and audiovisual support for conferences lectures executive meetings and other events throughout the hospital. Operate AV equipment at thes event sas requested. Ensure seamless execution of high-visibility events (executive presentations external communications broadcasts) Support live events virtual/hybrid meetings and recorded productions while utilizing digital audio/video switchers and control panels. Assures appropriate signals are received and end-users are satisfied. Set up configure and operate AV equipment (cameras microphones lighting switchers projection systems video conferencing platforms). Act as the escalation point for advanced troubleshooting. Creates comprehensive audiovisual user guides for frequently used conference rooms. Develop and maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) setup diagrams and technical documentation. Ensure systems meet organizational standards and compliance requirements. Operate and maintain the closed-circuit television system's patient education servers. Determine formats and content to effectively meet hospital objectives. Upload and schedule content. Coordinate with the Engineering department and Nursling Leadership on maintenance and distribution. Work with IT to support networked AV solutions and streaming technologies for optimal conference experiences. Perform pre-event testing and post-event evaluations. Implement new audiovisual workflow strategies to increase delivery efficiency and support. Track client requests for audiovisual services and generate monthly reports summarizing activity. Work with external vendors to generate comprehensive estimates for AV build-out and oversee project delivery and implementation. Schedule in-service training sessions for hospital personnel for use of AV equipment. Take inventory and complete reports on equipment. Prepare room audits for equipment efficiency. Install firmware updates where applicable. Accommodate audiovisual assistance for hospital conferences that are off-site. Formulate a plan to use owner supplied equipment or bring equipment from the hospital. Requests approval for freelance support from department director if needed. Makes arrangements as approved. Recommend improvements to workflows equipment and production quality. Manage inventory asset tracking and lifecycle planning. Research and evaluate new products and technologies. Minimal Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED required  One to three years formal training in communications or a related field with knowledge of media technology required Associate's degree preferred Experience 3-4 years of progressively more responsible experience with a wide variety of A/V equipment required One year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education. Knowledge Skills and Abilities Uniquely familiar with operating and maintaining industry standard control systems: Creston, AMX, Extron, Kramer, Polycom, and Cisco. Demonstrates the ability to handle a heavy meeting schedule and work
