Title and Summary Accounting (ESG Controllership & Reporting) - Manager Overview This role will be a member of Mastercard’s Controllership function and will support the Director of ESG Controllership, Reporting in advancing the company’s ESG reporting, regulatory compliance and controllership priorities. In this role, you will help execute key workstreams across sustainability reporting, ESG metrics, Workiva-enabled metrics collection and reporting, regulatory implementation, disclosure preparation and assurance readiness. You will work closely with Controllership, Corporate Sustainability, Legal, Regional Controllership teams, external assurance providers and other business partners to coordinate inputs, prepare documentation, analyze requirements, review metrics and support timely, accurate ESG reporting and accounting-related deliverables. The role is intended to provide strong execution and project support for global requirements such as CSRD, ISSB, EU Taxonomy, California climate disclosures and ESG reporting regulations, while partnering with dedicated ESG internal controls and process teams. Role • Coordinate and support implementation workstreams for global sustainability reporting requirements, including EU CSRD, ISSB, EU Taxonomy, California climate disclosure requirements and other emerging regulatory frameworks • Execute ESG reporting roadmaps, governance activities, metrics and disclosures aligned with corporate strategy and evolving regulatory requirements • Support on climate and GHG reporting processes, including coordination with global and regional teams on emissions reporting, GHG Protocol considerations and applicable regulatory requirements • Support the preparation, review and analysis of ESG metrics and key performance indicators, including climate, environmental, social and governance data used for regulatory, statutory and voluntary reporting purposes • Leverage Workiva to support ESG metrics collection, workflow management, documentation, review processes and reporting outputs • Assist in evaluating ESG metric methodologies, calculation approaches, reporting boundaries, data definitions and key assumptions to support consistent, assurance-ready ESG disclosures • Prepare supporting materials and assist with the delivery of regulated and voluntary sustainability disclosures, including regional statutory reporting, corporate sustainability reporting and other external disclosure requirements • Develop and maintain supporting schedules, reporting packages, management review materials and disclosure support documentation used in regulatory and assurance processes • Coordinate with Controllership, Corporate Sustainability, Legal, Enterprise Risk Management and regional finance teams to gather inputs, track open items, validate supporting information and support high-quality documentation and review processes • Monitor emerging standards and disclosure trends and keep the ESG regulation tracker updated, support scoping and preparedness timelines for emerging regulations and educate stakeholders on impact to Mastercard • Support assurance activities by evaluating evidence sufficiency, coordinating responses to assurance procedures, identifying documentation gaps, tracking action items and escalating issues as appropriate • Identify and recommend opportunities to improve reporting processes, streamline documentation and enhance consistency across ESG and accounting
