This role will assist with month-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and other accounting functions. The Staff Accountant will collaborate with team members to ensure the accuracy of financial records while developing a strong understanding of the company’s accounting processes and internal controls.
Responsibilities
Code transactions appropriately in general ledger. Research and resolve discrepancies in accounting transactions. Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation. Perform monthly account reconciliations and analysis. Special program tracking (minimum spend, rebates, etc.). Support audits and other financial reviews as needed. Document standard operating procedures for accounting processes. Identify issues and suggest procedural improvements. Cross-train on additional accounting responsibilities to provide backup support as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred. 1-3 years of accounting experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a team environment Analytical thinker with ability to problem solve Pay Range USD $53,000.00 - USD $74,000.00 /Yr.
