Job Summary
As a Payments Finance Transformation Automation Developer you accelerate reporting automation and process modernization. You will build production-grade data pipelines, automated FP&A workflows, and standardized dashboards that reduce manual effort, improve data quality, and enable faster decision-making. This role partners closely with P&A leads, Business Managers, Controllers, and Product teams to translate finance requirements into repeatable solutions with strong controls and governance.
Job Responsibilities
Build and deploy end-to-end automation for FP&A processes (data preparation, validation, reconciliations, KPI production, scheduled runs) using Python, SQL, and Databricks. Deliver Sigma dashboards to consolidate and rationalize recurring reports into a smaller set of standardized, governed self-service views. Develop and maintain finance-ready data models (actuals, projections/forecast, headcount/expense drivers), including clear metric definitions and drill paths. Partner with stakeholders to define requirements, success metrics, and adoption plans; convert ambiguous questions into deliverable backlogs and prototypes. Implement data quality and controls: reconciliation checks, completeness rules, threshold alerts, and documentation to support auditability and consistent outcomes. Support migration/modernization efforts by reducing reliance on manual workflows and fragmented tooling (e.g., streamline or re-platform legacy workflows where applicable). Perform UAT planning/support, production validation, release notes, and stakeholder training/documentation to drive sustained adoption. Communicate progress and outcomes clearly to senior stakeholders (what changed, impact, risks/controls, next steps). Apply analytics techniques for anomaly detection, variance driver analysis, and forecast input validation, leveraging approved tooling and governed datasets. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline. 4+ years of experience in BI development, data analytics, automation. Advanced Python + SQL (data transformation, automation, performance tuning, robust error handling). Hands-on experience delivering solutions with Databricks Experience building BI dashboards with strong user experience and governance (Sigma, Tableau/Qlik). Proven ability to translate FP&A/business problems into repeatable automated workflows with measurable efficiency gains. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; able to explain logic, assumptions, and controls. Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills: Experience rationalizing report inventories (consolidation, standard definitions, adoption tracking). Familiarity with data governance concepts (access controls, sensitivity handling, metric definitions, lineage/runbooks). Experience migrating legacy automation tooling into Python/Databricks (if relevant). Certifications in relevant tools (optional; not required).
