Job Summary
We are seeking a Brazing Quality Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our brazing operations in the HVAC industry, focusing on PED certifications, ASME code compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for auditing and implementing quality processes, reducing defects and customer complaints, and driving Kaizen improvements to support the production of high-quality HVAC products. What will you do? 1. Brazing Quality Operations: Ensure quality and reliability of brazing operations, meeting PED and ASME code requirements for HVAC products. Develop and implement quality control plans, procedures, and standards for brazing processes. 2. PED Certifications and Modules: Obtain and maintain PED certifications for brazing operations. Ensure compliance & responsible for PED modules, including modules D, B, H, H1, and B+D . Collaborate with Notified Bodies and regulatory authorities as needed. 3. ASME Code Knowledge and WPS: Ensure compliance with ASME code requirements for brazing and welding processes. Develop and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR). 4. Auditing and Quality Control: Conduct regular audits of brazing operations to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations. Identify and implement corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence. 5. Kaizen Improvements: Drive Kaizen initiatives to reduce defects, leaks, and customer complaints. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements. Work together Training Departmnet. Provide Guidance & mentoring for Quality Brazing Auditors assuring process it is under control by auditing brazing process & following standards stablishing on brazing process. 6. Core Tools and Quality Methodologies: Apply core tools, such as FMEA, Control Plans, and Statistical Process Control, to ensure quality and reliability. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Kaizen and lean manufacturing principles. 7. Handling of surprise PED audits 8. Certification together Training Department for Operators Certifications. What are we looking for? Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related field. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in brazing or welding quality engineering. Knowledge of PED certifications, ASME code, and WPS for welding processes. Experience with quality control, auditing, and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
Certification in quality engineering (CQE, etc.) or welding engineering (AWS, etc.). Experience with brazing and welding processes ( Autogenous, TIG, and MIG ) , including filler metals and flux.
