Summary The Bucharest Site Lean Leader / FLIGHT DECK Leader will lead lean transformation across the site by translating GE Aerospace’s FLIGHT DECK operating model into practical daily management, standard work, problem solving, and leadership routines that fit the local culture. This key site leadership role will build organizational capability, coach leaders and teams, drive kaizen and continuous improvement, and deliver measurable gains in safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and customer responsiveness. The ideal candidate is a lean toolkit expert and a persuasive, credible change leader who listens well, coaches effectively, and inspires strong performance across the organization. This role also supports cross-functional improvements in material flow, inventory, logistics, and customer demand execution where needed.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities Lead lean transformation across the Bucharest site by connecting GE Aerospace’s FLIGHT DECK operating model to practical lean leadership and daily execution. Partner with site leadership to drive a culture of continuous improvement that improves safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity. Coach leaders and teams on lean principles, standard work, visual management, daily management, and problem-solving routines. Lead kaizen events and other improvement activities that deliver measurable business impact and strengthen organizational capability. Build and sustain site operating rhythms that create accountability, improve execution, and accelerate decision-making. Provide training and mentoring to develop lean capability across the organization and create a self-sustaining improvement culture. Translate lean and FLIGHT DECK concepts into language and methods that are clear, practical, and effective for the local site culture. Drive site transformation initiatives that help the organization meet rising customer demand with greater speed, quality, and predictability. Partner cross-functionally with operations, quality, engineering, supply chain, and materials teams to remove barriers and improve end-to-end performance. Use lean tools and data-driven problem solving to identify waste, improve flow, and deliver cost-out and productivity improvements. Strengthen KPI rigor, visual performance management, and action planning to ensure focus on the highest-impact opportunities. Support improvements in material flow, inventory, logistics, and demand execution where these processes are critical to site success.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and significant experience in lean, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, or a related leadership role. Demonstrated expertise in lean tools, continuous improvement, and change leadership within a manufacturing or operational environment. Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, coach leaders and teams, and deliver measurable business results. ​ Desired Characteristics Strong lean toolkit expertise with the ability to apply the right methods to drive sustainable operational improvements.
