Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Computer Aided Design Operator 3 to join our team. This position will be located at Clearfield, UT to support the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division. Roles and Responsibilities Responsible for creating and revising technical drawings, plans, and documentation to support the design, development, and maintenance of systems, equipment, and facilities. Utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce accurate and detailed drawings, diagrams, and schematics, while adhering to government and industry standards. Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure that drawings are accurate and meet program requirements and shall be responsible for maintaining and updating existing drawings and documentation. Provide drafting support for proposals, reports, and other technical documents, and shall ensure that all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with government regulations and industry standards. Demonstrate proficiency in CAD software, attention to detail, and excellent communication for success in this role.

Basic Qualifications

Requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance Requires a High School diploma (or equivalent) with 4 years additional education and/or related experience Requires 3 years experience in 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing creation Requires experience with Microsoft Office tools (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Preferred Qualifications Certified Draftsman (CD) or Certified CAD Designer (CCD) Experience with Siemens NX, and Siemens Teamcenter Thorough understanding of mechanical parts/assemblies/production & integration processes Background and understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) for mechanical parts/assemblies Working knowledge of military and industry standards (ASME) for parts and assemblies Familiar with technical drawings and engineering data for parts/assemblies Experience and familiarity with life cycle management Proficient writer and able to verbally communicate technical content Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management Position Benefits As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Defense Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: Medical, Dental & Vision coverage 401k Educational Assistance Life Insurance Employee
