Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Tester.Eaton's Edmonton Power Centre (EPC) is our Canadian Manufacturing Facility that specializes in custom configurations of low and medium voltage switchgear, medium voltage motor control centres, and coordination centre for our Integrated Power Centre (E-House) offering.EPC creates custom product configurations, designs transition sections to replace outdated equipment, configures solutions for retrofit challenges, and manufactures unique front-access low and medium voltage switchgear solutions. The hourly rate for this position is $$27-$31 per hour. The hours for this position are Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm   Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  What you’ll do: 
 Reporting directly to the Quality Manager and working under the general direction of the testing team lead, this position is responsible for conducting all EPC testing work to verify the functionality and conformity of Eaton products to customer requirements and regulatory specifications. The tester ensures that Quality standards are followed in accordance with the Eaton Quality Management System (EQMS) and ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS). They support continuity of the production line and uphold Eaton’s High 5 areas of focus: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity. In this function you will: •    Functionally test products by following test scripts, applying power to units, addressing, and checking the function of components under load, if required. •    Perform other testing functions involved in quality assurance by checking the continuity of wiring (buzz), visually checking components, mechanically inspecting units, checking for consistency, applying labels, completing checklists, and performing dielectric tests. •    Provide technical support to colleagues by troubleshooting as required, communicating, clarifying, and solving intermediate issues with production assembly, marketing, and manufacturing information (MI), seeking assistance from senior testers as needed. •    Partner with marketing and manufacturing information (MI) to assist in the development of test procedures and standard method sheets by providing feedback and input to new or revised procedures. •    Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton’s Philosophy and Values as well as the Safety and Environmental Standards. •    Review and clarify Material Information documents to mechanically assemble or make standard modifications to doors, sub-assemblies, and parts of the tilt table apparatus. •    Actively participate in Safety and Gemba Walk programs. Qualifications: 
  Required (Basic) Qualifications: •    Must have completed a post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field. •    3-5 years’ experience in an electrical testing environment is ideal. •    Basic knowledge and skills in MS Office. •    No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 80km of Edmonton to be considered. •    Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future. Preferred qualifications: •    Familiarity with LEAN Manufacturing processes and Six Sigma tools. Skills:
