A Day in the Life The Medium Rate Battery area at Medtronic's Brooklyn Center North campus supports the production of implantable batteries used in life-sustaining and life-enhancing medical devices, primarily within the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) and Neuromodulation portfolios. These batteries are critical components that power implantable devices such as pacemakers, ICDs (implantable cardioverter defibrillators), and neurostimulation therapies. We're working a minimum of 5 days a week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary.                     The Senior Manufacturing Supervisor is part of the manufacturing operations organization responsible for delivering safe, compliant, and efficient production across high-volume medical device manufacturing. This role leads frontline production teams, supports operational readiness, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and partners closely with quality, engineering, supply chain, and training functions to achieve production, quality, and cost objectives. This position is based in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota and is an onsite role. Daily presence on the manufacturing floor is required to support operations, employee development, and production performance.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead frontline manufacturing teams to safely achieve production, quality, delivery, and cost performance objectives. Prioritize and execute production schedules based on customer demand, product introductions, equipment capacity, and material availability. Develop staffing plans, manpower requirements, and shift strategies to support changing production needs and operational growth. Coach, develop, and manage supervisors, lead operators, trainers, and production employees to build organizational capability and succession readiness. Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, waste reduction, line balancing, and process stability. Partner with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and improve operational performance. Monitor manufacturing metrics and analyze data to identify trends, implement corrective actions, and improve productivity and quality outcomes. Manage departmental budgets and resources, providing recommendations for capital expenditures, labor planning, and operational investments.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma 3+ years of manufacturing leadership experience. Experience leading production employees or frontline manufacturing teams in a manufacturing environment. Experience planning production activities, staffing requirements, and resource utilization to meet operational objectives. Experience using computer-based systems and production data to monitor performance and support operational decision-making. Ability to work effectively across functions to support production, quality, and business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience leading large frontline manufacturing teams in a highly regulated environment such as medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace, or other high-reliability industries. Experience supporting
