KKR is seeking a Leveraged Credit Closer to join its Global Investment Operations team in Boston. The individual will support the KKR Credit Trading desk, KKR Capital Markets (KCM), KKR’s CLO business, and Private Credit Operations.
The role will be responsible for supporting the leveraged loan trade lifecycle and ensuring trades are settled accurately and efficiently. The individual will partner closely with Trading, Treasury, Legal, Asset Maintenance, Finance, Compliance, and other teams across the firm to resolve settlement issues and ensure internal systems and records are accurately maintained.
This role provides an opportunity to join a global and evolving Investment Operations function focused on delivering best-in-class operational support to KKR’s investment businesses.
Key responsibilities include
• Manage the end-to-end closing and settlement of leveraged loan trades in accordance with LSTA conventions and settlement timelines
• Manage a high-volume closing pipeline, prioritizing trades based on settlement dates, compensation deadlines, and counterparty requirements
• Navigate loan closing workflows in ClearPar, including trade matching, document generation, and funding memo review
• Review credit agreements and apply relevant assignment provisions, minimum denominations, and eligible assignee requirements
• Partner with agent banks, counterparties, Trading, Legal, and Treasury to resolve documentation and settlement issues
• Coordinate funding requirements and cash movements with Treasury, including wire instructions and funding confirmations
• Review delayed compensation and cost-of-carry calculations and escalate discrepancies as appropriate
• Ensure trades and related activity are accurately reflected across internal systems
• Partner with the broader Global Investment Operations team and other functions to identify and implement process and control improvements
• Evaluate opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and technology to improve loan closing workflows and operational efficiency
QUALIFICATIONS
• 4-6 years of relevant experience in leveraged credit / syndicated loan closing
• Strong working knowledge of the LSTA trade documentation and settlement process, including par and distressed conventions
• Strong understanding of the leveraged loan trade lifecycle
• Hands-on experience with ClearPar
• Ability to interpret relevant provisions within credit agreements and loan documentation
• Understanding of delayed compensation and LSTA cost-of-carry concepts
• Knowledge of loan funding mechanics and associated cash movements
• Experience with Geneva and BMS Allvue preferred
• Interest in and working knowledge of AI and automation tools strongly preferred
