Standard Job Description Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines. Basic Qualifications Experience in one or more of the following areas: Mechanical hardware and systems Mechanical and propulsion engineering principals Navy Engineering and Design requirements Mechanical design experience US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience Desired Skills •Experience writing and negotiating FBM specifications. •Experience with system or component level reviews - especially with FBM •Experience with mechanical hardware and systems •Understanding of ordnance and propulsion engineering principals •Experience with FBM processes and documentation •Experience in problem investigations, particularly with small ordnance •Experience with ordnance system integration •Knowledge of Geometric Design & Tolerancing (GD&T) •Hands on hardware experience •Experience with manufacture and/or testing of ordnance hardware •Experience with requirement definition, documentation and verification Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
