Standard Job Description Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment. Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area. Basic Qualifications Proficiency in the use of general Windows-based PC applications. Effective communication and teaming skills. Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Willingness to perform duties in a integration and test environment. Willingness to perform demanding physical duties in remote and sometimes harsh field environments. Demonstrated ability to use typical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and similar electronic tools; and various technical hand tools such as wire strippers, cable connector & repair tools, etc. Ability to achieve commercial vehicle (CMV) operations certification, and to safely drive heavy-duty company pickup trucks and attach, tow, back, park, and operate trailers/generators. Ability to understand and comply with physical and information security standards and procedures. Ability to understand and comply with Environmental Health and Safety standards and procedures, including compliance with environmental control procedures for the handling and disposition of hazardous materialsand hazardous waste. Ability to obtain a secret security clearance, and must have an interim secret clearance prior to start so therefore all candidates must be US Citizens. Desired Skills Familiar with telemetry systems, and automated or manual test equipment. Experience with drawings and wiring diagrams, and experience in troubleshooting, cable assembly, and test. Experience with explosives, experience on test ranges, familiarity with test environments. Familiarity with RF antennas and telemetry acquisition systems, and copper and/or fiber optic data transmission systems and their repair. Current CMV certification or Commercial Drivers License.
