Job Description
Responsibilities - Master’s degree or postgraduate qualification in finance, business, economics, or a related subject. Progress toward a professional qualification such as CFA, CA, ACCA, CPA, or an equivalent credential. Experience with financial and transaction databases such as S&P Capital IQ, Mergermarket, PitchBook, LSEG Workspace, Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar platforms. Familiarity with customer relationship management systems and business development reporting tools. Experience supporting cross-border or multi-jurisdictional M&A research. Knowledge of valuation methodologies, including comparable-company analysis, precedent-transaction analysis, and discounted cash flow analysis. Exposure to private equity, corporate development, restructuring, valuation, transaction advisory, or investment banking environments. Strong project-management and organizational skills, with an ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. Demonstrated stakeholder-management skills and confidence working with colleagues at different levels of seniority.
Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end research assignments supporting M&A business development, from defining the scope and research approach to delivering high-quality, decision-ready outputs. Conduct research on companies, industries, investors, buyers, acquisition targets, and announced or completed M&A transactions across relevant sectors and geographies. Analyze transaction details, including deal rationale, transaction value, consideration structure, valuation multiples, financing arrangements, and key parties involved. Monitor market developments and transaction triggers, including acquisitions, divestitures, capital raises, restructurings, refinancing requirements, changes in ownership, and senior leadership movements. Partner with business development leaders, financial advisory professionals, bankers, consultants, and subject-matter experts to understand commercial priorities and translate them into structured research plans and deliverables. Define project scope, timelines, milestones, responsibilities, and quality expectations while proactively communicating progress, emerging findings, risks, and potential delays to stakeholders. Manage multiple research and business development projects simultaneously, prioritizing assignments based on urgency, commercial impact, stakeholder requirements, and available resources. Coordinate inputs from different teams, practices, sectors, and geographic regions to ensure that deliverables are accurate, consistent, relevant, and completed within agreed timelines. Present complex financial and transaction
