JOB DESCRIPTION
Compensation 52,500.00 - 98,300.00 CAD Annual Purpose This role is responsible for managing all Local Vendor Costing and National Costing files through Sysco Canada's centralized vendor portal system. The position also supports the setup, maintenance, and governance of Sysco Canada's national SUPC (product code) structure, while ensuring consistency, accuracy, and integrity of item master and costing data across Canada. Additionally, this role participates in projects and data quality initiatives that support national master data standards.
Responsibilities
Support local vendors in transitioning to the Sysco Supplier Suite Portal for costing submissions. Provide training and guidance to local merchandising associates and vendors on local and national costing processes. Review, approve, and maintain national costing updates for local vendors. Identify and implement continuous process improvements to enhance costing accuracy and efficiency. Process New-to-Canada item requests and new item setup requests submitted by National Account Managers (NAMs). Create and maintain Sysco branded SUPC codes and product codes provided by sister companies. Manage ongoing item maintenance activities, including updates, modifications, inactivations, and data cleansing. Ensure item master data remains aligned with Sysco's Houston master file standards. Standardize and maintain information related to SUPCs and product master data. Analyze data and collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accurate and consistent master data setup. Partner with GS1, Corporate AS400 Systems, EDI, Central Billing, and other functional teams to ensure item master data meets established standards and business requirements. Process and maintain large-scale item master updates to support ongoing data quality and cleanup initiatives. Support national projects focused on master data governance, consistency, and process optimization. Comply with Sysco's Food Safety policies and procedures to ensure food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and promptly report hazards, incidents, and environmental spills. Promote a safe working environment and actively participate in workplace safety initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
Post-secondary diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Management, Business Analytics, or a related field required. Bachelor's degree is considered an asset.
Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in Data Management, Master Data Administration, Business Analysis, or a related field. Experience working with large datasets, product master data, costing systems, or ERP platforms preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook. Experience with Cognos, AS400, ERP systems, and internet-based applications is an asset. Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly. Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
