About this role
Work Flexibility: Onsite 23 month FTC - Stryker Anngrove This role is to execute assigned process development elements with an emphasis on manufacturing, metallurgy systems and technical documentation required to define and specify new manufacturing processes Support the advancement of R&D & NPI team product realisation through laboratory and prototyping support.
What you will do
Provide Technical support for new process introductions, ensuring that all activities are completed and documented in accordance with the Stryker new product development procedures. Ensure quality of process and product as defined in the appropriate operation and material specifications. Support Project and Process Engineers on the development of manufacturing and/or inspection process flows as well as on executing DOE, DFM/DFI activities. Manage the development, definition and execution of process related activities and execute the associated qualification and validation activities. Execute equipment installation and related validation activities. Assist with the identification and installation and help with validation support of new equipment in the process development area Develop and implement best practices for laboratory activities. Creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures, maintenance procedures and Health and Safety procedures. Support 3D-Printing prototyping. CAD file preparation, conversion to STL, 3Dprinter preparation and operation, post-processing and inspection. Work closely with the Quality Department to ensure all documentation associated with validation and new product introduction in a regulated environment is accurate, executed in the correct sequence and completed in a timely manner. Participate in PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP and PPAP generation associated with product transfers and launches. Ensure adherence to GMP and safety procedures. All other duties as assigned.
What you will need
Experience working within a production environment producing components from both engineering drawings & 3D CAD models whilst maintaining drawing tolerances as applicable. Tool Making or similar craft qualification or a Certificate in an Engineering discipline with related work experience in a precision machining environment. Be able to program, set and operate different machine tools. Experienced CNC machinist (turning/milling). Demonstrable experience in the use of offline 3D CAM programming. Demonstrate a sound knowledge of work holding, tooling, speeds and feeds, quality awareness and time management. Maintain good housekeeping and a safe working environment for self and others. Be able to work independently under pressure and within a team environment as well. Must have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written. PC literate, with knowledge of MS Windows applications (Excel & Word) To have a flexible, can-do approach, be results orientated, self-motivated with drive and initiative. Ability to identify areas of improvement & implementation.
