You will be a key contributor, providing coaching and knowledge transfer to other team members to assist with skill building over time. The selected candidate will join the Classified IT Transformation team, as a Network Administrator ensuring that the Lockheed Martin networks and IT systems are managed, controlled, and updated in a manner consistent with Lockheed Martin policies and procedures. This includes supporting routine updates, major upgrades, and on-going maintenance and support of the network switches, wireless network and LAN routers including both Classified and Unclassified networks. Overall responsibilities include but are not limited to: The support of Type 1 encryption systems and performance monitoring of the classified network infrastructure, supporting break/fix incidents and supporting various project work within both campuses and remote facilities. Position includes the remediation of vulnerabilities by adhering to customer operating regulations, best practices with supporting documentation of all managed and controlled network assets. This role utilizes troubleshooting skills to provide timely and effective solutions to problems as well as developing technical solutions to complex problems which require consistent use of ingenuity and creativity. All work must be performed on-site, including some off-shift hours, weekends, and occasional travel. The position works a 4x10 schedule (Mon-Thurs) but will also support a 24 X 7 weekly on-call rotation schedule. Designs and plans network communications systems. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network design. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network. Basic Qualifications Hands on exposure and experience related to networking and fault isolation Installation and configuration of Cisco and/or Brocade network switches and routers Hands on experience with routing and switching Hands-on experience and knowledge of Type 1 network encryption Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting network infrastructure Familiarity with TCP/IP, IP configuration, peer-to-peer networking and IP addressing and subnetting.
