Overview J&J MedTech Surgery India is one of the fastest-growing markets in the Asia Pacific region and an important contributor to the global Surgery business. This role is expected to help the business navigate challenges and opportunities to sustain a competitive and profitable growth trajectory. This is a critical Finance leadership role that serves on the J&J MedTech Surgery India leadership team and directly supports the Country Lead, MedTech India and Vice President, Surgery Anuj Pasrija on a wide range of strategic and business performance topics. The role reports to the CFO & VP Finance, J&J MedTech Asia Pacific Surgery & MedTech China, and serves on the APAC Surgery Finance leadership team. It leads a team of 7 finance professionals based in Mumbai spanning business unit finance, FP&A, supply chain and manufacturing finance. The Finance Director partners with global, regional and local stakeholders to shape and drive the India Surgery strategy and business model transformation, delivering profitable growth while establishing and sustaining a strong compliance and controls environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Talent Development Provide leadership and talent development for the India Surgery Finance function, connecting all parts of the finance service delivery model with the aim of continuously optimizing its functioning. Drive the talent agenda and future capability building within MedTech and cross-sector, in close collaboration with the India Finance Council and the regional finance organization. Professionally manage the team of 7, setting clear objectives, providing guidance and performance follow-up, and building a robust succession plan through development, coaching and training. Foster an inclusive, high-performing and Credo-based culture that attracts, retains and grows diverse talent. Business Partnership & Strategy Serve as a cross-functional business leader at the India Surgery leadership level, acting as a trusted partner to the Business Unit Lead and commercial, supply chain and functional leaders. Provide strategic and operational Finance support, including the delivery and analysis of financial performance and the assessment and quantification of risks and opportunities for the business. Own coordination of the Business Plan, Strategic Plan and financial updates — setting financial targets, driving pricing and margin agendas, and monitoring execution. Liaise with business and cross-function leaders to ensure attainment of key performance metrics and financial results, including topline growth, margin expansion and cash / inventory management. Financial Controls & Reporting Establish and sustain a strong compliance environment, delivering compliant results in accordance with US GAAP, local statutory requirements and Johnson & Johnson Worldwide Procedures.
