As an Associate (Manager) Professional / Lead within our Index Calculation Agent team (Mumbai) , you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm. Job Responsibilities
Validate daily third‑party price capture for fixed income securities using multiple market sources. Investigate price and valuation movements and explain what is driving changes. Partner with pricing vendors to resolve data issues quickly and reduce operational risk. Monitor daily production runs, identify breaks, and coordinate with technology partners to restore processing. Prepare and share daily pricing and market impact summaries with clear context. Produce month‑end index rebalance and composition reporting, incorporating new issuance and corporate actions. Analyze valuation movements within client portfolios on a daily and monthly basis and highlight key drivers. Complete daily, monthly, and ad‑hoc tasks accurately and on deadline, with strong attention to detail. Handle client queries promptly and professionally, ensuring timely follow‑up and closure. Participate in and present during monthly client meetings, communicating results in a client‑friendly way. Improve pricing controls, procedures, and documentation to strengthen the end‑to‑end process.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience). 8+ years of relevant experience in fixed income operations, valuations, pricing, index operations, or a closely related area. Strong understanding of fixed income instruments and their key characteristics (for example pricing conventions, cash flows, and lifecycle events). Experience using market data sources and pricing platforms (for example Bloomberg and Refinitiv) and reconciling differences across sources. Strong analytical skills, you can isolate issues, identify root cause, and drive items to resolution. Strong communication skills, you can explain outcomes clearly to stakeholders and clients. Strong ownership mindset, you proactively track actions to completion and escalate when needed. Ability to collaborate across global teams and time zones. Strong spreadsheet skills and comfort working with large datasets. Strong attention to detail and ability to perform under daily cutoffs and month‑end deadlines. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to lead through influence.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
Experience with automation or data tooling (for example Python, Visual Basic for Applications, or Structured Query Language). Chartered Financial Analyst designation is a plus. Master of Business Administration is preferred.
