Summary This position is part of our hybrid onsite/work from home business model. Once fully trained (6 months) this will be approximately 25% onsite and 75% work from home. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities  •    Reviews and interprets specialty medication orders, ensuring accuracy, appropriateness, and adherence to treatment guidelines.  •    Establishes specialized patient counseling and education on the proper administration, potential side effects, and therapeutic goals of specialty medications.  •    Confers with healthcare providers and insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations and facilitate reimbursement for specialty medications.  •    Conducts most complex medication assessments, identifying drug interactions, contraindications, and potential medication-related problems specific to specialty medications.  •    Assesses patient response to specialty medications, evaluating therapeutic outcomes and adjusting treatment plans.  •    Educates healthcare providers on specialty medications, dosing, drug interactions, and alternative therapies.  •    Integrates with the multidisciplinary care teams, providing clinical recommendations and contributing to treatment decisions for patients requiring specialty medications.  •    Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and safety protocols in the handling, storage, and dispensing of specialty medications.  •    Stays updated on the latest research, guidelines, and advancements in specialty pharmacy practice, incorporating new knowledge into patient care.  Required Qualifications •     Current Pharmacist License in good standing in State of Arizona. •     Reside in the State of Arizona within commutable distance of Chandler, AZ. •     Six months pharmacy experience. •     Six months work experience with Windows-based applications like Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications. Preferred Qualifications •     Licenses in other states desirable. •     Prefer Healthcare work
