Job Description
Role Purpose: The Engineer is responsible for confirming and supporting the safe, reliable, and effective operation of Airbus product features and functions across sub-system, system, and aircraft levels. This role focuses on individual technical leadership and high-quality technical delivery using ground-based test rigs and rigorous analysis of ground and flight data. The engineer will drive system maturity by exploring and implementing advanced validation techniques, providing technical ownership and guidance to ensure system integrity and innovation.
Main Responsibilities
Technical Ownership : Take end-to-end technical responsibility for specific flight control sub-systems. Ensure technical requirements are met with high fidelity and maintain a deep understanding of the system architecture. Complex Problem Solving : Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical challenges within the flight control domain. Utilize advanced analytical methods to troubleshoot system anomalies and provide robust technical solutions. Technical Mentoring : Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Conduct peer reviews of test procedures and analysis to foster technical excellence and knowledge sharing across the team. System Testing Strategy : Understand and define system testing methods, strategies, and planning. Oversee the writing of test procedures, execution, data recording, and defect classification. Analysis & Reporting : Utilize appropriate tools to perform real-time analysis, supporting flight tests and identifying defects. Produce comprehensive Flight Test Report Analysis. Innovation & Automation : Drive the innovation of value-added testing techniques, including automated testing, virtual testing, and Big Data Analysis to eliminate the cost of non-quality. Documentation : Review and validate design specification documents such as System Description Documents (SDD), System Integration Documents (SID), and Interface Control Document (ICD). Essential Qualifications: B.Tech. or M.Tech. in Electronics/Avionics or equivalent. 5-8 years of experience in Avionics systems V&V or development. Deep understanding of Avionics Systems Engineering, Flight Management Systems, and Flight Controls. Strong knowledge of Indicating & Recording systems, Guidance, Navigation, and Control. Desired Characteristics / Skills: Technical Leadership : Ambition to drive technical solutions and innovations. Proven ability to guide colleagues through technical complexities and contribute to the evolution of testing methodologies. Problem Solving : Strong analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex technical requirements into actionable verification strategies and solve intricate system-level issues. Technical Expertise : Strong background in Avionics System Integration strategy, multi-system/multi-function testing, and analytical problem-solving. Tools : Experience with Matlab, Virtual Test Means, and Engineering model simulation tools. Soft Skills : Proven team player with an enthusiasm for aviation and autonomous working capabilities.
