About this role

Overview

Be part of the team responsible for some of Azure's most strategic partnerships and growth opportunities. In this role, you'll help define how Microsoft collaborates across product, sales, engineering, and partner ecosystems to accelerate customer adoption, influence business strategy, and scale billion-dollar businesses together. The Azure Product Marketing team is looking for a  Product Marketing Manager, Strategic Partner Workloads,  to help scale how Microsoft supports mission-critical third-party strategic workloads across Azure and the broader Microsoft Cloud. This role will define the outbound operating model, best practices, and repeatable motions that help the team engage partners more consistently and effectively. This role will interact and form the conduit with GTM teams and functions to align process and leverage exiting resources as much as possible. This person will work across the portfolio of strategic partners to identify common needs, build scalable approaches, and develop areas where Microsoft can gain economies of scale across partner engagement, planning, content, field activation, and impact measurement. You will work across Azure marketing, Engineering, Sales, Partner, and external technology partners to define where we invest, how we engage, and how we measure success. The ideal candidate brings strong product marketing judgment, partner empathy, operational rigor, and the ability to turn varied partner and workload needs into practical frameworks the broader team can use. Success in this role depends on helping the organization work smarter: clarifying when to customize, when to standardize, and how to make outbound efforts more consistent, measurable, and efficient. Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees, we come together with a growth mindset, collaborate to realize shared goals, and build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities

Identify common needs across partners and workloads where shared assets, guidance, processes, or programs can create economies of scale. Build frameworks, templates, playbooks, tiering models, and scorecards that help teams scope investment and execute partner motions more consistently. Help translate strategic workload priorities into partner-ready and field-ready messaging, use cases, scenarios, and activation guidance. Lead and support outbound planning discussions with internal teams and external partners, ensuring clear goals, ownership, timelines, and follow-through. Define, track, and communicate metrics for success, including partner engagement, field activation, asset usage, pipeline influence, customer adoption, workload migration progress, campaign performance, and business impact.
