Responsibilities
Lead duties include:faciliation of therapist meetings;, completing performance improvement chart audits and providing associated feedback and coaching to therapists as needed; providing training and to unlicensed clinicians and/or students; assisting therapists in problem solving and decision making processes for imminent and/or challenging situations; assisting with program development and program evaluation and program improvement; and other tasks may be added as needed as determined by the Director of Clinical Services. These tasks will be completed in addition to unit therapist responsibilities as described below. The therapist role is designed to provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients within the acute care, residential or outpatient settings. Additionally, therapists have the primary responsibility for treatment planning and when necessary they will interface with community agencies and referral sources throughout the client's course of treatment.
Qualifications
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. * Frequently stands, walks, kneels, reaches while working with patients/residents/students. * Requires full range of body motion including handling and physical restraint of patients. * Ability to perform CPR and first aid. * Ability to work rotating shifts. Ability to drive a vehicle if necessary. * Must be able to speak, read and write. * Ability to visually supervise residents & hear requests for assistance from patients and staff. * Emotional stability necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. * Vision and hearing sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
SKILLS
Requires strong organizational and communication skills, working knowledge of personal computer, ability to maintain confidentiality. Able to complete required paperwork according to established protocol and regulatory agency requirements. Must be able to maintain professional and appropriate boundaries with clients and families. Ability to act professionally in high stress situations. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: Masters degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work. One year clinical experience working with children, adolescents and adults. LPC, LCSW, LMFT may be required for some positions. Some positions require a valid Colorado driver's license with a good driving record. CPR and first aid certification also required. STAFF DEVELOPMENT REQUIREMENTS: Must meet or exceed hospital and regulatory agency training requirements. EXPOSURE CATEGORY: I Performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.
