Leidos is seeking a Technical Projects Manager to support the Army G2 (FEDSIM) Integrated, Next-Generation, Versatile, Intelligence, Capabilities, Technologies & Applications (INVICTA) Program, an $800M IDIQ providing advanced Situational Awareness applications and technologies to enhance MDO and improve C2 operations and C2 countermeasures (c-C2). This role serves as the primary technical oversight manager for a complex range of Task Orders, ensuring successful stand-up and overseeing execution. The Technical Projects Manager will support the Program Manager in driving technical execution, the employment of engineering and project management best practices , and strategic planning. The role will initially be located at a Leidos site in Northern Virginia and may transition to a hybrid‑remote work arrangement based on business needs.
Primary Responsibilities
Drives Complex Projects: Initiates, oversees planning and execution of complex, often interdependent, technical programs. Technical Alignment: Understands emerging technologies and approaches, to ensure teams align with technical mission outcomes Risk Management: Identifies, mitigates, and removes bottlenecks/roadblocks/obstacles to keep technical projects on track. Cross-functional Coordination: Acts as a central facilitator and , reliable source of truth between engineering, product, and non-technical stakeholders. On Contract Growth: Proven experience identifying and closing On Contract Growth opportunities. Will network in the intelligence and operational communities to bring new capabilities to new mission partners. Oversee multiple projects to ensure interoperability and engineering standards are met. Support the Program Manager in managing the large portfolio of projects. Serve as acting Program Manager when required. Support the Program’s Chief Engineer as directed by ensuring engineering discipline, standards and interoperability across domains and among mission partners. Provide and use metrics from program plans, roadmaps, and performance historical data to provide technical guidance, ensuring program execution success. Prepares and delivers program/project senior‑level briefings and deliverables.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical discipline and 12 or more years of relevant experience or Masters degree with 10 or more years of experience. Active DoD Secret security clearance required and ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret SCI security clearance after starting in the role and maintain that clearance during your employment under this position. Proven experience leading mid to large DoD projects, specifically Cost Plus in structure, proven proficiency in executing and successfully delivering program financials, technical, and schedule business commitments. Understanding of AI implementation and applications in solving technical challenges. History of successfully leading and managing multiple project(s) of varying complexity, innovation/R&D, and services. Demonstrate an understanding of project management methodologies, including traditional, Agile, and hybrid. Demonstrated leadership of cross functional teams. Knowledge of multi-domain operations and Army G-2 modernization challenges and priorities. Ability to successfully engage with Army G-2 and other joint warfighting partners on the employment of new technologies to enhance multi-domain situational awareness. Ability to gain internal consensus and influence change, operate
