Scopely is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Slate Development Group and support a high-profile, unannounced mobile game project in the US on a hybrid or remote basis (Hybrid in Culver City).

What You Will Do
• Data Analysis: Dive deep into large, complex data sets to extract actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. Analyze player behavior, game performance, and trends to inform product strategies and optimizations
• Game Team Support: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities and challenges. Define key metrics, establish data telemetry, implement KPI frameworks, and effectively communicate insights to drive continuous iteration and improvement
• Ownership of Analysis: Take ownership of end-to-end analytical projects, from the inception of a new feature to ensure robust reporting and monitoring is in place, to design and assess A/B experimentation and deliver final insights, interpretations, and presentations. Drive the execution of analytical initiatives with precision and attention to detail
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across the organization to translate data insights into impactful business outcomes. Partner with our product team and others to shape the future direction of the game
• Presentation and Communication: Effectively communicate complex findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Present insights in a clear, concise manner through compelling presentations and reports
What we are looking for
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence-related role. Gaming industry background is an advantage
• Strong educational background in statistics, economics, or a related advanced degree is a plus
• Solid knowledge of SQL and comfort working with large data sets – exposure with BigQuery and Python/R experience a plus
• Working Knowledge of AI tools such as: Claude Code, Codex, Open Code, etc. hands-on experience writing skill marketplaces, and building analytic workflows with AI
• Working Knowledge of visualization tools: Looker (Preferred), Qlikview, Tableau, or Power BI
• Strong presentation skills; ability to communicate complex results throughout an organization
• A strong desire to learn and grow in product analytics and data science, with intellectual curiosity and analytical rigor
• A love for or a strong desire to work with and play mobile games
Bonus Points
• Passion for and deep engagement in games
• Experience supporting a title from development through live operations
• Strong knowledge of mobile action RPGs, character-collection games, or systems-driven F2P genres
• Experience working across both Chinese and Western game development cultures
• Mandarin & English proficiency
