With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together. Role description:
The Global FinTech Specialist primarily supports the Tech Controlling team by preparing accurate reporting, forecasting inputs, transactional validation and cost allocation activities across the global Tech portfolio.
The role supports effective financial control by maintaining reliable data, leading the preparation and coordination of Tech recharge activities, and preparing monthly country financial reports and decks to support country business partnering discussions. Process ownership, methodology, prioritisation and final review remain with the Tech FinTech Controller, Business Partner or Controller as appropriate.
Role accountabilities
The role supports the Global FinTech Controller in the day-to-day execution of assigned Tech finance activities, with emphasis on data accuracy, timely preparation, recharge computation, reporting packs preparation and routine country collaboration.
Support month-end, forecast and reporting cycles through timely preparation of packs, reconciliation, documentation and maintenance of organised, auditable working files.
Prepare recharge and allocation schedules for global products, including supporting calculations, allocation drivers, country-level breakdowns and reconciliation checks, for review by the FinTech Controller and final EF recharge review by the EF Tech Business Partner.
Support selected deep-dive analysis by preparing data, reconciliations and supporting schedules for review by the FinTech Controller.
Gather routine inputs from country finance, Tech stakeholders and BI&A teams, and follow up on missing or unclear information.
Identify recurring operational issues or process pain points and suggest practical improvements for review by the FinTech Controller or relevant Business Partner.
Escalate material variances, recharge concerns, control issues or interpretation questions to the FinTech Controller for review and further escalation where required.
Work with the FinTech Business Partner on individual development priorities, including building technical finance knowledge, improving understanding of EF and NC processes and strengthening analytical capability.
Qualifications & Experience
Candidates should have relevant experience in finance, accounting, FP&A or controlling, ideally within a shared service, global finance or technology-related environment.
The successful candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented and well organised, with the ability to communicate financial information clearly and work effectively with colleagues across teams.
Other required experience and competencies for this role
Good understanding of financial reporting, forecasting, accruals, recharges and variance analysis.
Strong Excel and data analysis skills, with confidence working with reconciliations and large data sets.
Experience with ERP, consolidation or reporting tools; Oracle Cloud, OneStream or Power BI experience is an advantage.
Experience supporting recharge, cross-charge, cost allocation or intercompany processes is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data issues, unusual movements and process gaps.
Clear communication skills and ability to summarise financial information in a practical way.
Proactive, organised and able to manage deadlines across month-end, forecast cycles and ad hoc requests.
Collaborative mindset with interest in process improvement, automation and better use of data.
