About this role
We are looking for an Associate / Vice President to join the Repo team within the Fixed Income Division in Hong Kong. The role will focus on supporting the growth of the Asia credit repo trading franchise through market making, risk management, financing activities, and collaboration with global Repo trading teams. In the Fixed Income Division, we work in fast-paced and constantly changing global markets to assess and manage risk, trade securities, manage relationships with clients, and structure and execute innovative transactions. Key Responsibilities
Responsible for market-making and trading activities across credit repo. Monitor, manage, and optimize trading inventory, financing positions, and risk exposures in coordination with regional and global trading teams. Support Asia Flow Trading desk in terms of inventory management (covering shorts) Develop and expand financing and repo trading relationships with institutional counterparties, including banks, asset managers, funds, and other market participants. Partner with sales, structuring, risk management, operations, and technology teams to enhance trading infrastructure and operational efficiencies. Contribute to the implementation and development of trading, financing, and risk management frameworks within the Asia region. Support strategic initiatives aimed at growing the Asia Repo trading franchise and broadening product capabilities. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 3+ years of experience in credit trading, financing, repo trading, fixed income markets, or a related role within a bank, securities firm, or asset manager. Strong understanding of fixed income products, credit markets, financing transactions, and repo markets. Experience managing trading risk, inventory, and funding considerations within a market-making environment. Solid knowledge of emerging markets credit, and fixed income market dynamics. Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative trading environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across internal and external stakeholders. Familiarity with Bloomberg and other trading platforms.
