Job Title  SAM Consultant Position Summary The  L2 SAM Consultant  oversees day-to-day operational support of the SAM functions. You will bridge the gap between L1 end-user support and L3 expert/vendor escalation. Your primary goals are optimizing software license usage, preventing license non-compliance, and minimizing software spend across on-premises, SaaS, and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) Key Responsibilities

Manage enterprise software licenses (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Adobe, SaaS platforms). Reconcile discovered software deployments with actual entitlements and license agreements. Identify and remediate over-allocation, unauthorized installations, or under-licensed software to avoid audit penalties.

Analyze software usage data to identify opportunities for license harvesting, recycling, or optimization (e.g., co-term agreements). Assist IT procurement and vendor managers in tracking contracts, renewals, and software retirements.

Generate periodic compliance / ELP reports, trending, and performance reports to present to IT leadership. Ensure adherence to SAM governance frameworks best
