JOB DESCRIPTION: This position involves working with livestock (hogs) and includes responsibilities such as: ·         Driving, sorting, weighing, tattooing, marking, and penning livestock. ·         Maintaining accurate inventories and headcounts. ·         Performing light building maintenance and showcase duties when not working with livestock. ·         Moving hogs safely and effectively with minimal stress to the animals, following all humane handling guidelines. ·         Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor. ·         All Tyson Team Members are responsible for personal and food safety.

REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.   Experience: o    1 year of prior experience handling and working with livestock in loading/unloading operations preferred. o    Experience with skid loaders operation preferred. o    Experience in livestock handling within the meat industry and knowledge of humane animal handling procedures preferred.   Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge preferred.   Communication Skills: o    Excellent verbal and written communication skills. o    Ability to communicate in stressful situations with all levels (hourly employees to upper management) and government officials.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lift 70+ pounds unassisted. Ability to stand for extended periods (8–10 hours, excluding breaks).   SPECIAL SKILLS: Strong observation skills and conscientiousness about animal treatment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be available to work extended hours as required by management. SHIFT: Must submit a resume for consideration.
