Summary Job Description Role and Responsibilities Prepare, calibrate, and operate specialized non-destructive testing (NDT) tools and equipment to ensure accurate inspection results. This includes verifying equipment functionality, performing pre-use checks, and adhering to established procedures for optimal performance. Conduct non-destructive testing using approved methods such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, or dye penetrant techniques to identify potential compliance issues in parts and materials. Ensure inspections are performed in accordance with industry standards, company protocols, and safety guidelines. Apply fundamental mathematical skills to analyze inspection data, calculate tolerances, and interpret results. This may include measurements, conversions, and statistical analysis to support decision-making and ensure compliance with specifications. Foster a collaborative work environment by actively participating in cross-training initiatives and promoting teamwork to enhance overall team performance and flexibility. Clean and organize the work area to maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant environment. Adhere to 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to promote workplace organization and continuous improvement. Perform related environmental, health, safety, maintenance, quality, continuous improvement, and production-flow job duties to support plant machinery, equipment, and manufacturing-related initiatives and programs. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all operations. Attend shift crossover and other business required meetings when applicable. Participate in training duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED with 1 year manufacturing, fabrication, inspection or mechanical engineering experience; OR Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in a technically related field such as manufacturing, fabrication, or mechanical engineering Desired Qualifications: Possess a technical certification in a relevant field (i.e. aerospace engineering, mechanical systems, etc.) that demonstrated specialized knowledge and proficiency in industry-standard tools, technologies or methodologies. Demonstrated hands-on experience in performing non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections across various techniques, such as ultrasonic testing (UT), radiographic testing (RT), magnetic particle testing (MT), dye penetrant testing (PT), or eddy current testing (ET). This includes proficiency in interpreting inspection results, identifying defects or compliance issues, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and safety protocols. Experience may also involve working with advanced NDT equipment, maintaining inspection documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support quality assurance and production goals. Set up, operate and maintain inspections tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. This includes calibrating machinery, troubleshooting issues, performing routine maintenance and adhering to safety and quality standards to support production goals. Performing essential mathematical calculations to ensure accurate measurements and alignments, utilizing precision gages, fixtures, and inspection measuring equipment to verify tolerances and dimensions. Interpreting blueprints, detailed sketches, engineering specifications, and technical drawings to analyze requirements, determine appropriate setups, and plan operations necessary for completing job tasks with precision and efficiency. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, including waste reduction, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies. Exhibits excellent communication skills to facilitate teamwork, resolve conflicts, and ensure alignment on production needs.
