Your Role
You will lead a team of Procurement professionals at a site level and work closely with site stakeholders to drive business results and broader Point of Care (POC) initiatives. Lead the Strategic Procurement agenda for the site, demonstrating the value of the function through performance based KPIs. You will be responsible for developing the supplier base and supporting the growing demand in our Sudbury manufacturing site for POC Diagnostics instruments and reagents. You will act as focal point between Sourcing, Manufacturing operations, Quality & R&D/Engineering and lead cross-functional initiatives. You will oversee end-to-end supplier management to ensure delivery, quality and cost targets are achieved for current and future business needs. On an ongoing basis, you will interact with our Global Commodity Management and align on demand pooling, price negotiations, global commodity strategy to ensure site alignment. Your Expertise: You have a BS/BA in Supply Chain Management or Procurement, with extensive professional experience in owning strategic supplier relationships. You have expertise developing and executing sourcing strategies in supply chain within a manufacturing environment and a practical understanding of Strategic Procurement fundamentals. You are experienced in developing individuals and leading a team to reach their potential. You are an excellent communicator with a continuous improvement mindset and skills to implement changes. You can build strong and influential business relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver business goals. You are an excellent negotiator capable of concluding agreements with suppliers on a range of topics.
