Pharmacy Checker (Night Shift) Salary: £26,000 per annum + £4,792.84 Night Shift Allowance Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Pharmacy Checker to join our Night Shift team. This role is critical in ensuring that patient orders are picked, checked, labelled, and prepared accurately, helping us maintain the highest standards of patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Working closely with Pharmacists and Warehouse Operations, you will play a key role in ensuring all orders are processed correctly and delivered on time. This role will work initially from our high performing National Distribution Site in Northampton, moving to a brand-new healthcare facility owned by CEVA Logistics in Rockingham Park, Corby which will be opening in 2027.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out 100% accuracy checks on ancillary products, ensuring correct product codes, descriptions, batch numbers, expiry dates, and quantities. Verify patient labels are accurately applied to all products and match dispatch documentation. Complete and maintain checking records and associated pharmacy documentation. Identify, record, and help resolve picking errors, ensuring all discrepancies are logged and corrected. Work closely with Pharmacists and Warehouse teams to maintain compliance and operational excellence. Ensure orders are checked promptly to meet delivery schedules. Maintain prescription records and patient documentation in line with legal and regulatory requirements. Match faxed prescriptions with original prescriptions and file records accurately. Support annual prescription archiving activities under pharmacist supervision. Assist with warehouse tasks including product picking, box preparation, pallet wrapping, and report preparation. Support Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and Good Warehouse Practice (GWP) standards. Undertake risk assessment activities under pharmacist supervision. Attend training sessions and comply with all quality, health & safety, and company procedures.
