Job Description
We are looking for a HPC Onsite Technical Consultant to join us to provide Hardware support for a large HPC (High Performance Computing) system for a Customer based in Sweden ( 200 km northwest of Stockholm ). As a Resident Technical Consultant, you will be working as part of a dedicated onsite team to deliver onsite hardware reactive support. The role also requires taking part in a 24/7 on call rotation to ensure compliance with the strict SLA (Service Level Agreement) associated with the support contract. All necessary product training will be provided, along with mentoring from colleagues within the WW HPE HPC team to enable the successful candidate to provide the level of support required.
Responsibilities
Diagnosis: Troubleshoot the HW issues (customer or by HPE onsite reported) Produce accurately documented remediation action plans and technical records. Adopt the methodology and tooling to run the troubleshooting Elevate and follow up on resolutions to product L2/ L3 support groups and the appropriate management to ensure timely resolution Onsite interventions: Carry out the Plan of Action for failed hardware components. Maintain meticulous records of planned maintenance actions and outcomes within case management systems. Monitor the Cooling Distribution Units of the system and act accordingly from stipulated routines. Spare parts: Follow the spare parts process management for receiving & returns Monitor the spare parts inventory and act if replenishment is lacking Education and Experience required: Educated to degree level, or equivalent, in a computer science or related discipline. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience of Computer Systems hardware support. Job Family Definition: Provide technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams. Responsible for providing technical support and/or leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet customers’ business needs and, consequently, for understanding customers’ businesses.
