Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Java Microservices Development Engineer to join our team. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of scalable and efficient microservices architecture for our applications. You will work closely with the development, architecture, and operations teams to ensure the best practices in microservices design and development, and mentor a team of Java developers.
Key Responsibilities
Independently designs and/or codes may lead others in the development of cost-effective application and program solutions. Leads or acts as chief technical contributor to translation business requirements to technical specifications. Leads or acts as a technical contributor in the design of new applications or enhancements including integration of purchased solutions. Independently performs and assists other team members in providing ongoing system maintenance, research, problem resolution and on-call support tasks for existing systems. Oversees or performs unit testing. May perform or assist with functional integration and system testing, according to detailed test plans to ensure high-quality systems. May assist business partners with User Acceptance Testing. With limited direction, supports the implementation of systems into production, including integration of purchased solutions. Responsible for Code Asset Management for an application or set of applications. Supports and promotes the reuse of assets across the organization. Lead or act as a subject matter expert for projects and/or service requests impacting an application or set of applications.
Required Skills
7+ years of overall experience in application program development with 5 years of hands-on experience on Java development 5+ years of experience with Integration concepts and practices. 5+ years of experience in Java spring boot and microservices. 5+ years of experience in developing Java RESTful services 5+ years of experience working with business and functional requirements that apply to the applications supporting a sub-domain or domain as well as their relevant interfaces. 2+ years of experience supporting and leading others to develop API services utilizing onshore and offshore teams.
Preferred skills
Good understanding of service / API interface structures. Experience/knowledge in Mongo DB & GCP platforms Knowledge in BPM, Extreme Scale – WXS, Mqueue, SPLUNK, Cloud Containerization, DevOps. Experience with one or more programming language, development tools, and/or databases and the systems development life cycle, applicable to a development organization. Experience with application development support software packages. Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams.
Education
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience) Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $130,295.00 - $260,590.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to
