The Job: As a Market Development Manager, you will be part of our WA Field Team, reporting directly to the State Manager WA/SA/NT. In this role, you will strategically drive growth and profitability by identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities. Your duties will include: Own and deliver business development plans that drive demand creation, sales growth, and profitability across priority segments, customers, and end-user opportunities. Identify, assess, and priorities new business opportunities, trades, applications, and customer insights to inform growth actions, forecasts, and resource prioritisation. Develop and execute targeted strategies to win new customers, expand key accounts, and strengthen market position. Build strong engagement with top end users and key stakeholders, using market and customer insights to shape tailored commercial approaches. Demonstrate disciplined sales execution through strong pipeline management, opportunity conversion, and account development practices. Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and other internal teams to align plans and deliver coordinated growth outcomes. Drive margin improvement through directional selling, category growth, and commercially sound decision-making. Provide leadership, coaching, and positive role modelling to support Field Sales capability and contribute to a high-performance, collaborative team culture. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships. Proficiency with sales technology platforms (e.g., Salesforce, SharePoint). Analytical mindset, with a focus on margin expansion and pipeline management. Self-motivation and a results-driven approach. A background working on construction sites will be highly regarded.
